Kamakura, the 13th-century political center of Japan, and birthplace of three major Buddhist sects (including Zen, introduced from China),
is a wonderful vision throughout the year. The ancient gardens and temples, the wooded hills, and the mountains hugging the ocean are alive with color and life. Here is my tribute to Kamakura, my
home for more than a decade.
